Refund policy

We have a 90-day return policy, which means you have 90 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition as you received it, unworn or not, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, you can contact us at support@kayakboards.ca. 

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return label, along with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items that are returned to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damage and problems
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can assess the problem and correct it.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

ITEMS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:

• Commercial use
• Cosmetic problems
• Boards purchased from vendors other than KayakBoards™.
• Any customer-initiated modification to the surface of the board.

PADDLE BOARDS
Manufacturer's 2 year limited warranty on all paddle boards from the date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defect in workmanship and materials during this period. At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to have the defective part or product professionally repaired or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you. This warranty commitment does not cover the claim conditions listed below.

SURFBOARDS/KAYAKS
2 year manufacturer's limited warranty on all surfboards from the date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defects in workmanship and materials during this period. At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to have the defective part or product professionally repaired or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you. This warranty commitment does not cover the claim conditions listed below.

INFLATABLE PADDLE BOARDS
2 year limited manufacturer's warranty on all inflatable paddle boards from the date of purchase. We guarantee against any abnormal defects in workmanship and materials during this period. At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to have the defective part or product professionally repaired or replaced with an equivalent product at no cost to you. This warranty commitment does not cover the claim conditions listed below.

THIS WARRANTY COMMITMENT FOR SURFBOARDS, PADDLE BOARDS AND INFLATABLE PADDLE BOARDS (KayakBoards) DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING CLAIM CONDITIONS;

1. Damage or defects caused by impact with materials or objects (rocks, docks, other boards, etc.).
2. Damage or defects caused by use not in accordance with the intended purpose.
3. Damage or defects caused by normal wear and tear.
4. Damage or defects caused by transportation, loading, unloading, dropping or handling out of water. Including marks left by overtightening of transport straps.
5. Damage or defects caused by dents in the heel, also known as pressure bumps.
6. Damage or defects caused by improper storage at temperatures above 90°F and below 32°F.
7. Damage or defects caused by overheating due to exposure to direct sunlight when not in use.
8. Damage or defects caused by wave impact and/or impact with the ocean/lake bottom.
9. Damage or defects caused by storing the board in closed, damp conditions (e.g., a wet board bag).
10. Boards used in a rental, commercial or teaching environment.
11. Damage to the fin or fin box caused by impact to the fin.
